Evergreen and Wan Hai extend their slot sharing arrangements
to encompass the Japan - China - SE Asia trades


Having agreed to launch a new joint service covering Taiwan, the Philippines and Vietnam at the beginning of this month (March), Evergreen and Wan Hai have now revealed that they will also share slots on services linking Japan, China and SE Asia as from the beginning of April.

Evergreen is to launch a new weekly Japan/China/Straits (JCS) service deploying four 1810TEU L-type vessels with a port rotation:

  Tokyo - Yokohama - Osaka - Tianjian - Qingdao - Shanghai - Hong Kong - Tanjung Pelapas (PTP) - Singapore - Port Kelang - Johor Bahru - Hong Kong - Tokyo.

The first sailing will be with LT Power on 2 April from Qingdao.

Wan Hai will take slots on this service while Evergreen will take slots on Wan Hai's weekly Japan/China/Indonesia (JCI) service which utilises five 1100TEU vessels that call:

  Tokyo - Yokohama - Osaka - Tianjing - Qingdao - Shanghai - Xiamen - Hong Kong -Shekou - Manila (South Harbour) - Surabaya- Jakarta - Kaohsiung - Hong Kong - Tokyo.

The first sailing will be with Wan Hai 267 from Qingdao on 2 April.

In addition to the afore mentioned services, Evergreen and Wan Hai also co-operate on Japan - Taiwan - Hong Kong route with one ship each on the JTH service.
