Evergreen Marine Corp has upgraded its website to provide its customers with a more convenient service. The upgrade will include improved schedule information, cargo tracking, bills of lading (B/L) processing, and a range of e-commerce functions.
The new appearance and style of the website, along with its improved site map function, promise to make it more user friendly. The website also includes a 'quick function', which allows customers to track cargo movements and search sailing schedules with ease. It also offers customers the opportunity to subscribe to an e-mail service direct from the homepage, which provides up-to-date sailing schedules.
Commenting on the new website, Arnold Wang, President of Evergreen Marine Corp (Taiwan), stated:
"It is of the highest importance to us that we provide our customers with the best possible service. In redesigning our website, Evergreen is taking yet another important step in achieving its aims and objectives in customer care.
"Visitors to the new website will find more comprehensive information, advanced facilities and a more efficient overall interface."
The new online cargo tracking and sailing schedule functions will be linked to Evergreen's main database, enabling users to access all related data on the web on a real-time basis.
The sailing schedules will also be available in multiple report formats allowing customers to select either html, pdf or text. Likewise, the e-mail function will also be upgraded to give customers the option of receiving information in hyperlink or attached file format and subsequently in html, pdf or text.
Cargo tracking information will also be made more accessible to customers, who will be able to check the whereabouts of their containers using either the booking number, the B/L number or the container number.
